Healthy Smoothie Recipe of the Day: Mango Coconut

I know I have already mentioned that I LOVE healthy smoothies. I make one every afternoon and pack it full of nutritious foods to fuel me up and to help my body recover from my workouts. I also love writing healthy smoothie recipes too, so I thought I would share some of my original recipes on an ongoing basis like this Healthy Smoothie Recipe of the Day: Mango Coconut.

Today’s healthy smoothie recipe of the day features the “king of fruits”, mango, which is high in the antioxidant vitamin C, and rich in the mineral potassium. Mango is also a good source of vitamin B6, vitamin A, and contains high levels of pectin, a type of fiber that can help keep cholesterol levels in check. Mango Coconut Smoothie

  • 11-ounce container coconut water
  • 1 6-ounce container vanilla coconut yogurt
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 tablespoon sesame tahini
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional for thickening)
  • 1/2 teaspoon guar gum (optional for thickening)
  • 1 cup ice

Combine all of the ingredients and process until smooth.
